Blood, Sweat and Tears research book
The aim of my final masters project Blood, Sweat and Tears was to analyse and address the taboo of menstruation in sport. Throughout the project I collected lots of research which I decided to turn into a book to help educate people and start a discussion on the issue. All the images in the book are printed in red on white paper to link back to the anxiety players feel about leaking onto white shorts. For the book, I designed a typeface called ‘Protective Padding’. The typeface is inspired by football shirt fonts and the shape of sanitary pads, you can see the typeface more indepth by clicking here
